Delta Air Lines is one of the most popular airline carriers not only in the US but around the world. The airline is planning to extend its services to Sydney, Australia by the end of July, 2009. This extension of service will make it the only American airline carrier that will serve all continents, including Antarctica and Africa. Today, it is the only American airline that has regularly scheduled flights to Africa.

In the past years, Delta Airlines had merged operations in cooperation with Northwest Airlines. It was in only 2008 that Delta decided to close this merger and create the world’s largest commercial airline. Delta has expansive international and domestic flights to several destinations in the world today.
